Student Organizations:
Student Council
The Student Council involves representatives from grades 5 through 8. It is an opportunity for kids to engage in a leadership role and be involved with organizing student activities such as the School Pride program and roller skating parties. Now, if they would just stop requesting that every day be Free Ice Cream Day!
Athletics
The Athletic program includes soccer, volleyball, softball, baseball, and basketball at St. Dennis. These are CYO sports and usually involve students in grades 5 through 8. U-7, U-8, U-9, and U-10 St. Dennis soccer teams participate in Madison Heights' Youth Soccer League. Intramural baseball and basketball camps and leagues are offered for grades 1-4. Go Rams!
Robotics
Fifth, Sixth, seventh, and eighth graders have the opportunity to participate in this after-school club preparing engineering projects for a regional competition hosted by Lawrence Technological University.
OFLAS
Opportunities for Leadership and Service Organization are for students in grades 5 through 8. The organization primarily provides leadership role through example. They undertake various school recycling and beautification projects.
Scouting
St. Dennis has an active scouting organization of eagle scouts, boy scouts, girl scouts, daisies, cub scouts, tiger scouts, and brownies. Monthly meetings are held at the school. There are troops and dens for every age level. Children participate in service projects, learn new skills, and enjoy outdoor activities such as camping, fishing, hiking, canoeing, and so much more! S.W.D.
School Without Drugs Organization has both an 8th grade Student Committee and an 8th grade Parent Committee. The organization primarily focuses on tobacco, drug, and alcohol prevention through speakers, presentations, poster contests and essay contests.
Mural Group
The mural group consists of interested artists that paint murals upon request. Come and see some of their work on the Library wall.
YA Group
The YA Group researches books and goes on shopping excursions to provide the library with the latest YA reading material. The YA group meets every Wednesday during lunch.
